Aunt Jen Visits

This past weekend we had the pleasure of having Aunt Jen come see us. We had such a great time when she visited back in September we wanted to have her back as soon as we could. What better time to have family with you then around the holidays.

Aunt Jen came bearing gifts for Miss P:

A new Adidas track suit and adorable Brooklyn T, some great books and holiday finger puppets. Thanks Aunt Jen!

Gabe and I went to our work holiday party on Friday night so Jen and Penny spent some quality time together. What a treat to have a built-in babysitter! And Penny loves her Aunt Jen… she went to sleep no problem.

Saturday the ladies went to the SF Made Craft Fair where Penny enjoyed the music:

And then to Union Street for a little shopping and late lunch.

Nap time and lazy couch time when we returned and then Jen and I went out for a sisters dinner while Gabe stayed with Penny. We had so wanted to finally get Jen to Spruce, but wouldn't cha know, they were closed for a private party - boo. So we went to The Magic Flute instead and had a really nice meal. Good food, good wine and great company.

Sunday we bundled up and went over the bridge to the Food Trucks.

We had planned on getting our picture taken with Santa at the same mall we did last year, but he was set up outside (cold!) and the line was quite long. We'll try another (indoor) mall before Christmas.

After some shopping for the ladies, we headed back home for nap time and then play time… play doh time to be exact:

After Penny went to bed we had our homemade pizza for dinner. Delicious!

Monday morning us three ladies went to Eats for breakfast.

Penny loved her watermelon.

Eggs were yummy too (and a little dance at the end).

While not eating, to keep herself entertained Penny came up with a new game, "Make [mum-mum] Crumbs, Wipe them Away":

Then it was time to take Aunt Jen back to the airport :(. We had a great visit and were so glad to have her with us again before the end of the year. What a treat!
