Aunt Jen's Visit

2 weeks ago Auntie Jen came to visit us. What a GREAT weekend we had. There was a lot of quality time enjoyed between aunt and niece, mixed with the perfect balance of sightseeing and relaxing. Not to mention sister quality time too :).

The 3 ladies went to Daiso on the way back from picking up Aunt Jen from the airport.

We definitely enjoyed ourselves and Miss Penny was great to go along for the shopping ride. Jen and I took turns holding her so she wasn't confined to the stroller and I think that helped... much better view of all the fun packaging and unusual items for sale.

Jen spent some of our car trips in the back with Penny while I drove. Initially it was so she could help keep her awake so we could her home for napping. But it also allowed her to spend more time with her. I know Penny enjoyed the company. Plus it was fun to get a glimpse of some of what goes on back there. Like this:

I had to include this pic as well... I wanted to change Miss Penny's diaper before we got back in the car after our 2 hour shopping marathon :) so I did it in the back of the SUV (not the first time, actually works quite well). It was breezy, so when I went to put her back into her car seat, the wind got under her hair and fanned it out as I settled her in:

Aunt Jen and I got a kick out of it, and I think Miss Penny did too :).

Friday night we had dinner out at Troya. Penny worked up an appetite walking there.

Saturday we visited the Ferry Building for some shopping, lunch and ice cream.

On Sunday the girls took a walk to Clement Street to the Farmer's Market and some dim sum.

Being silly at dim sum.

We had breakfast at Eat's on Monday followed by some shopping and lunch over the bridge.

Throughout the weekend, we practiced walking and spent a lot of time in Penny's room. We played with her new piggy toy and of course ate and ate. We  laughed A LOT and enjoyed having Jen with us. We can't wait until the next visit!

I had to include this crazy photo Jen took. It looks like I am floating over Penny (where are my legs?), and Jen's feet just make it perfect :).

And finally, some videos from throughout the weekend...

Playing with Penny in the kitchen we discovered she likes to do this:

Tickle giggles:

Dancing during breakfast at Eat's:

Bath time fun:

More giggles at dim sum:

Eating (and feeding) strawberries;

Flopping on Doggy Big Guy:

More giggles and a great arm workout of Mommy:

Mommy and Penny sillies with the camera facing her:

And a definite favorite- the Sophie Crawl. We couldn't stop laughing when she did this one:
