We didn't have any plans for Easter this year other that decorating eggs with Penny and giving her a little basket. So it was a nice suggestion from Gabe the we try to have Easter Brunch. It gave us an excuse to dress Miss Penelope in her Sunday finest, a birthday present from Jessie that still fits:

Dada and Penny out the door. It was a picture-perfect sunny day:

We were able to get a reservation at The Magic Flute which is quite conveniently up the street from us. We were seated at a nice corner table by the window so we were able to look out on the beautiful day while enjoying our brunch.

And the silly version:

Self-timer up on our neighbor's stoop:

Once home I wanted to get one last Easter dress pic with my girl. And boy am I glad I did.

This picture fills me with happiness. It's also very similar to last year's.
Then we changed into our egg dyeing outfits:

Before we got to the egg coloring we gave Penny her Easter Basket. I filled it with little trinkets I thought she would enjoy: finger puppets, a wind-up bunny and of course, "beeaaads!"

Then it was time to do some dyeing. Penny watched while Dada got started.

Then she tried her hand (literally):

She seemed to be most content observing and playing with the goodies from her basket.

While Penny napped Gabe prepared a delicious dinner of salmon and roasted potatoes and asparagus. We all sat down together and read an Easter prayer before our meal.

What a wonderful day we had. A Happy Easter indeed!
You definitely had a wonderful Easter! Gabe did an excellent job on the eggs, and that photo he took of you gals is really wonderful. Miss you all!
