Penny's first piece of candy? A tootsie roll she picked herself.
Although a little timid, she got the hang of it pretty quickly:
We stayed out for about 45 minutes. It was much different from how Gabe and I remembered trick or treating. No ringing door bells, people were out on their stoops with candy, some houses had tables set up and wine for the adults. And let's not forget the huge house up the hill that was giving away, among a plethora of full-sized candy, teddy bears. Yes, I squeezed through the crowd of kids to get one for Penny. It was her first trick or treating, after all :).

We had a great time and hope Penny did too. She was definitely a hit in her costume and I think she did pretty well in the candy department for her first time :).
