Rosh Hashana Celebration

Although it wasn't our first Jewish New Year with Penny, it was our first celebration. We kept it simple with lighting of the candles and then sharing apples and honey to ring in a sweet new year.

We didn't have a candle holder, so I 'crafted' one out of tin foil. Function over form :).

After we put Miss Penelope to bed, Gabe and I made a delicious dinner of salmon, potato pancakes and spinach salad with apples and candied walnuts (more sweet for a sweet new year).

It was a lovely way to acknowledge the holiday and add to our growing bag of traditions.
