They are indeed a goofy duo.

Happy Mother's Day!
Our celebration started the evening before with a dinner of wine and homemade pizza after Miss Penelope went to bed.

Gabe and I talked about last Mother's Day, our first, and how crazy time is flying. Not to mention our little one will be 2 years old in 2 short months!
Mother's Day morning, Gabe got up and brought Penny in to say hello.

I was lazy in bed for a bit and then received my beautiful cards and flowers.

After Penny's nap we went to Dootie Dolittle to get her a dress for the wedding and then got lunch stuffs for a picnic at the park. The weather was wonderful. We had bagels and lox, turkey slices and potato chips. Plus grapes and coconut water that we shared.

After lunch we played in the playground for bit and then we headed home where we all took naps. It was a wonderfully relaxed Mother's Day that filled me with joy, love and appreciation. How lucky and I to be the Mommy to this little one?

Penny, I love you more then you can know. Thank you for allowing me to celebrate this wonderful day as your Mommy.

Friday Hi…
…puffy eye.

Penny woke up with a puffy eye. The lid is slightly red but not her eye itself and she is showing no signs that it is bothering her. Not a rub or whine. She's her usually kooky self. So we decided to let it go and hope it mends itself. It seems to have gone down a bit since the picture was taken earlier today. She doesn't look so much like a baby (and much prettier) Rocky Balboa. Ah, Friday Eye.

Cupcake Date
Ever since the birthday party on Sunday, Penny has been obsessed with cupcakes. So I told her we would go to Paradise Foods to share another one like we did a few weeks ago.

She chose one with blue icing. "Da bye?" (which incidentally we think means "that one?") and actually said "bwue" (blue). Smart cookie!

Mouth full of blue icing. It was cold so it came off in one piece.

Another sweet treat with my sweet girl.

Also need to give props to Aunt Jen for the great NY t-shirt. Look how great it goes with her pink stretch jeans, Aunt J![/caption]
