18 (well, 19, almost 20) Month Checkup

Penny had her 18 month wellness checkup on Thursday morning.

She now recognizes Maria, the nurse who gives her shots. She is also the one who weighs and measures her and brings us back to the exam room. So we didn't have much time at the office before the tears started.


She weighs 24 pounds 4 ounces and is 32 inches long. This up from 22 pounds 5 ounces and 29 inches at 15 months - a big height jump that puts her in 75% for both weight and height. We think that 3 inches is all in her torso :)


The iPhone and a Thomas and Friends book helped to calm the tears:

She received 2 shots, Hep A and Chicken Pox:

She is in great health, her chest sounds much better from her visit last week (we can cut back on the nebulizer).


Our girl is doing wonderfully. We are very blessed.

Headband

(I found this post in my draft folder. Guess I never posted it :). It's from January and too cute not to share.)

How cute is the 'meow' Hello Kitty headband on our girl.


It was part of the loot bag she received from Macin's birthday party. We just love it and I guess she does as well- she left it on for quite a while. Maybe she forgot it was there ;).

The Mimis

Taken after daycare yesterday.


It was such a nice day, we decided instead of going straight to the car, we'd join Saie and Macin and explore around the cul-de-sac Ana lives in.

We're working on one where they're both looking at the camera, but it's a start. :)

She puts her sweatshirt on with the zipper in back because Miss Penny likes to take it off. Pretty clever of Ana, I thought.

And yes, she is watching her feet in the reflection in the garbage can.

Blue Boo Love

Penny got another Boo dog from a colleague of mine for Christmas. We affectionately call him Blue Boo.
