Sickie Update

Last night we spoke with the pediatric advice line and they suspect Penny has a virus that is going around. She said to keep doing what we were doing, and have lots of cold liquids - maybe some sorbet or ice pops. So Gabe sat with Penny and a cool cloth on her head while I ran to get some cold goodies.

She had strawberry sorbet for dessert (after eating a full meal, a good sign) and thought it was yummy.

Before bed her temp was down to normal. She slept well, although did wake up a bit earlier than usual. She was coughing a lot this morning. We took her temp and it was back up to over 100 again :(. So more Tylenol. But she cooled off again and ate a good breakfast.

We'll most likely have this up and down for the weekend, as the advice line suspected and hope by Monday her temperature will remain normal.

Fever

20131108-192107.jpg

Our Poor baby has a fever. First one (that we know of). It was 99.3 at daycare and 100.3 when we got home. We are giving her Tylenol and lots of snuggles and hoping it breaks. She doesn't seem to effect tho, she still danced to The Berenstain Bears theme song on Sprout, so that's a good sign.

Friday Hi

Hi from the couch as I drink my baba and Daddy does my hair -

The Prison

Gabe sometimes does this with Penny in the mornings when she's having her bottle.

We call it her prison but she doesn't seem to mind being in there, in fact we think she quite enjoys it. It still leaves a perfect view of the TV so all is well.

A Seat for Penny

Miss Penelope has decided that she likes to sit on the (very small) threshold by our sliding doors...

It's very cute- she'll slowly back herself right up to the glass door and then plop down on her 'seat'. She can have it... I highly doubt mine or Gabe's behinds would fit.

The Many Faces of Penny

My it's been a while since we've done one of these....

A new one she's started - sucking her top lip in. It's quite funny. Our silly girl.

Shopping Cart Giggles

Penny loves when she is in a shopping cart and we go over something bumpy. Like the pebbled edging at the base of ramps in the parking lots, or the cobblestone paths at the market. She giggles and smiles so big, I can't resist rolling her back and forth over these areas. And anyone who thinks I'm a bit odd for doing so quickly gets why when they are in earshot of her laughter. Pure joy.
